In Patrick and Rhyne Sister Galleries at Alamance Arts… “The Art of America: A 250 Year Celebration”
Join us in celebrating America’s 250th birthday! This exhibit celebrates our culture, landscapes, history, and flag through a diverse range of media, including textiles, sculpture, painting, and more. Featuring a guest appearance by Alamance Piecemakers Quilt Guild’s commemorative quilt, “We the People.”
And, COMING SOON to the Patrick and Rhyne Sister Galleries at Alamance Arts… “Photographs by Hugh Morton: An Uncommon Retrospective”
This exhibit features 80 photographs from the Hugh Morton Collection of Photographs and Films at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Curated by photographic archivist Stephen J. Fletcher, the exhibit debuted in 2013. Morton’s influence extended well beyond photography. He inherited Grandfather Mountain in 1952 and developed it into one of North Carolina’s best-known travel destinations while also working to protect its natural environment.

Alamance Arts provides FREE craft kits weekly. These kits can be picked up on the side porch leading into Picasso’s Gift Shop. New kits are replenished every Tuesday.
