NC Arts Disaster Relief Fund
With the amount of damage caused by hurricane Helene, many artist local to Western NC now have to face the damages done to their studio space, lost countless pieces of work, if not all of it, and no longer have the equipment and materials necessary to create. We need artist to band together and help support those effected by Helene. When you donate enter the word “RELIEF” in the description for your gift.
Bottoms Up: Contemporary Ceramics in the south, a juried cup show
Bottoms Up: Contemporary Ceramics in the South, A Juried Cup Show will be held at Artspace this spring 2025. This exhibition celebrates the outstanding achievements of contemporary ceramic artists in the Southeast while providing an accessible way for new and established collectors to engage with these artists and their works.
Artists may submit up to 3 entries. All submitted work must be for sale. All accepted entries will be eligible for “Best in Show” $500 and “People’s Choice” $250 awards. Call for Exhibitions (2026-27)
Artspace seeks exhibition proposals from visual artists and curators across the U.S. for the 2026 exhibition cycle through early 2027 in Gallery 1 and Gallery 2. Open to professional, mid-career and established artists and curators residing in the U.S. Two-person or group proposals by artists are also welcomed.
Selected exhibitions for Galleries 1 + 2 will:

Call for Universal Access Artist in Residence
Initiated in 2018, the Universal Access Artist Residency is for artists who identify as having a disability. This month-long residency provides funding, studio space, and professional support for a national artist to produce a solo exhibition immediately following the residency at Artspace. During the residency the artist works in the gallery where the work will be exhibited.
Residents can actively contribute to Artspace’s artistic and educational programming by participating in First Friday, Raleigh’s monthly art walk; being available for studio visits and tours; and working in their studios during Artspace’s business hours. While this contribution is encouraged, the main goal of this residency is to provide the resident with the space and opportunity to devote themselves to their creative practice.
