Art Classes, Workshops & Upcoming Events
Classes held at Alamance Arts support local artists and assist Alamance Arts in continuing to enhance the quality of life by engaging people in a diverse array of art.
Classes must have a minimum of at least 4 participants to occur, unless noted in the class description. If the minimum is not met, you will be notified at least 72 hours prior to the class, and a refund will be issued.
Class prices are set by artists. And, unless otherwise noted, all supplies are included in the cost.
Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance of the class to incur a refund. If you cancel less than 72 hours prior to class, a refund will not be issued. (But, we do allow you to have someone come in your place.)
NOTE that items not picked up from classes taken through Alamance Arts within 30 days of notification of pickup will be considered donated items and property of Alamance arts.

Join our hands-on beginner class and learn to craft your own unique silver pendant using precious metal clay (PMC). No experience needed, all materials included – just bring your creativity!
In This Class, You’ll Learn:
• How to shape, texture, and mold silver clay
• Firing techniques to transform clay into solid silver
• Polishing and finishing your custom-made pendant
• Tips and tricks for working with metal clay at home
Spend a couple of hours on a Saturday morning creating a lovely canvas painting from acrylic paints. This fun and low pressure workshop is held by Carolyn Langley at Burlington Artists League within Holly Hill Mall. Sign up today! Cost includes all supplies.
Learn the basics of the potter’s wheel during this fun and engaging hands on workshop at Frickery Frackery Pottery in West Burlington. Tracy Levy will lead you in creating some pieces at the wheel that you will get to keep after you choose a glaze and the pieces are fired. This class is perfect for friends to take together. Join the instructors at Recovering Clay Studio on April 18th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Choose between two classes - an introduction to the Pottery Wheel class OR a handbuilding class where you will create a bouquet of beautiful Spring flowers out of clay! All materials are included. Join us for a casual wine tasting. Arrive between 5:30 and 7 pm and sample wines from a local distributor. Different wines (and distributors) will be featured each month. Food will be available for purchase, with 10% of food sales going to Alamance Arts. ALL proceeds from the ticket sales go back to benefit Alamance Arts and the arts in Alamance County.
